Artist
koshy
Koshy Brahmatmaj is a multidisciplinary artist working primarily with embroidery. Their practice engages with themes of gender, chronic illness, caste, and the politics of rest, often explored through humor, intimacy, and a sense of play. Living with chronic illness shapes the rhythm and method of their practice. Disability is not a metaphor in their work. It is a lived reality. They are interested in how pain, inaccessibility, and invisibility shape bodies and lives, and how slowness can act as both survival and refusal in a hyper-productive world.
