About the artist:
Prithwin Dutta is a graphic narrator whose practice moves across ink drawing, watercolour, painting, and digital illustration. Growing up in India between the influence of far-western and eastern cartoon shows and the rapid expansion of the internet, he developed a visual language shaped equally by pop culture, technology, and the strangeness of living through both.
His work treats forms as memory fragments through abstraction and figuration colliding with text, colour, and a vocabulary of objects, words, and emotions accumulated over time. Provocative, vivid, and often humorous, his compositions sit somewhere between the biological drama of nature and the technological drama of the world humans have built around themselves.
