Savitha Ravi is a printmaker from Chettinad, Tamil Nadu, currently based between Vadodara and Surendranagar, Gujarat. Having spent her life moving across cities, towns, and regions of India, she has developed a practice rooted in that restlessness, in the habit of noticing what most people walk past. Her work is drawn to spaces more than figures. Locked doors, long-empty houses, windows whose views have shifted without anyone marking the moment where Savitha is attentive to how spaces carry the memory of the people who once inhabited them, and what remains after they have gone.
